MoneyMint ("the app") is an Android application for personal financial planning — 20+ India-specific calculators (SIP, PPF, EPF, FD, RD, EMI, and related tools), plus tracking your own saved investments and calculations. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.
The app does not require you to create an account or log in. All calculator inputs (amounts, rates, durations, etc.), any investments or calculations you choose to save (e.g. a name, institution, notes, and the figures you enter), and your theme, language, and other preferences are processed and stored entirely on your device and are not sent to us or stored on any server. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this data, since nothing is backed up remotely by the app itself.
With your permission, the app can show local notifications generated entirely on your device — no server is involved in scheduling or sending them:
You can turn maturity reminders on or off from within the app, and either type off from your device's system notification settings at any time.
The app lets you export your saved investments as JSON and CSV files, for your own backup or record-keeping. This only happens when you explicitly tap "Export" — the files are generated on your device and handed to Android's standard share sheet, so where they end up (e.g. saved to a folder, emailed, uploaded to your own cloud storage) is entirely your choice. The app itself does not upload or transmit these files anywhere.
The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to understand feature usage and diagnose crashes. These services may automatically collect:
We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not sell or share it with third parties beyond Google's role as our analytics/crash reporting provider. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
The app does not show ads and does not use any advertising SDKs.
Locally stored data (saved investments, calculations, and preferences) remains on your device until you delete it within the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall it. Analytics and crash data is retained by Firebase per Google's standard retention policies.
The app is a general financial-planning tool not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect data from children.
This policy may be updated as the app evolves (e.g. when account-based features are introduced in a future release). Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
